Mope.io is a survival-of-the-fittest type .io game in which you play as a small Animal and must eat Food and other players in order to climb up the food chain and upgrade. It was released on October 3rd 2016 but has been updated many times since then. You must also drink Water (or Lava, in the case of the Black Dragon or Phoenix) to decrease your thirst, or else you will die and produce Meat. Be wary of bigger animals with red outlines because they are predators and may well eat you. Eat animals with light-green outlines because they are prey and thus give XP. You can also eat predators by biting their tail.

You start off as a small mouse, crawling along the battlefield, eating berries as you go in order to grow. Unlike Agario and other popular IO games like Slitherio or Paperio, in this cool game your character won’t only grow, but will also change it’s appearance and acquire new abilities. In Mopeio all players are animals, which eat berries, spawn and other players in order to grow and survive as long as possible. You start off at the bottom of the food chain as a land or a water animal (mouse or shrimp), as you eat and drink water, you gain experience, which is needed to evolve into a different creature. The more you evolve, the more varied becomes your diet and the more useful abilities you acquire, for instance, pigs can slide in mud, lions can roar, penguins can slip on ice and dragons can fly!
There is an established foodchain in Mope.io: animals you can eat don’t have to be smaller like in other IO games, they must have a lower level. Friendly players/objects are indicated through a light green border that outlines the objects, dangerous players are indicated with a red border, make sure you avoid these players as a newbie! Land animals can eat water animals and vice versa, altogether there are 3 fields in Mope IO: water, land and arctic snow. Once a water animal enters the land field, it’s water level will be quickly dropping, if it reaches 0 your animal will die. The arctic snow area is only safe for some high evolved animals.
How To Play MOPE.IO
To control your animal and make it move you just need to move your mouse and the creature will follow the cursor on the screen. To escape the enemy or chase the victim you can accelerate by pressing left mouse button. To dive or use your special ability press W. In Mopeio you can also chat with other players, press ENTER to start a conversation.
Player movement is controlled through mouse movement, keep in mind that your movement can be slowed or obstructed by certain objects if theyโre bigger than your character. For example when you first spawn you can not eat the mushrooms or move through them so its best to go around them. Sprinting is available in game and can be used through pressing or holding in your space bar but be aware this dose consume water to use!
The main goal of the Mope io is to permanently evolve in the chosen class of animals (land or water) and of course to get the maximum score. Many of players say that the game actually begins when your character is already updated to it’s maximum level. That’s not actually true. The game is well balanced, this means that there is a number of same level animals. Every animal has it’s own special abilities like kicking, picking, poisoning and etc, so you will for sure find you favorite animal soon.
The animals you can attack (as well as they can attack you) are marked with red, the friend-animals marked with green.

Mope.io Game Strategy, Tips & Tricks
โ Stick around with bigger animals that don’t hunt you, thus other dangerous animals won’t be able to get close to you.
โ While running from a predator don’t forget to use some objects in your surrounding to escape; for example, if the predator is too big to squeeze through the gap between 2 hills, or if you can traverse through mud quickly.
โ Hide in a hole and wait until an unsuspecting predator ambles by, and then you strike! When leaving a hole, you are still invisible for a bit even if your mouse cursor is out of the hole.
